Annoyed, irritated, furious, indignant, livid
Anger words differ by strength, by cause and by whether the anger shows. Annoyed and cross are mild. Irritated is mild and repeated. Furious and livid are at the top of the scale. Indignant is anger at unfairness. Resentful is anger that has lasted years. Seething is real anger that is being kept off the face.
